Guest Post: Christine and Jane from Darcy Anne Naturals
Hi! We’re Christine and Jane, the creators of Darcy Anne Naturals. We are thrilled to be retailers at the Salt & Honey Market May 2nd-6th and equally excited to be guest bloggers! We’re also two busy, semi-stay-at-home moms, totally obsessed with great skin, health, nature, holistic living and, of course, beauty products.
Our line is inspired by two young family members who lost their battles to cancer, Darcy and Rachel Anne. After watching their brave but agonizing struggles, we don’t want people to fight cancer; we want them to avoid it. One of the easiest ways to stay healthy is to start with clean body care. Good health is a lifelong practice so we decided to make products that appealed to everyone, from tweens to grandparents. We have developed product that help heal and protect both body and planet, while working effectively.
As busy moms with almost 30 years of combined experience in the wild world of alternative supplements and holistic living, we realized early on that not only were many of our favorite beauty products incredibly expensive, but stuffed with nasty additives that we wanted to avoid. Products labeled as “natural” or “healthy” often contained many of the same ingredients but with a much higher price tag. This drove us crazy. We wanted products that moms like us could buy for their kids without having to worry about breaking their budget in the name of health.
We are obsessed with our new coconut-honey face wash which lightly exfoliates and gently removes the most stubborn makeup and deeply cleans pores while calming and hydrating the skin with botanicals.
Our flagship product, aluminum-free, vegan deodorant uses ingredients like zinc oxide with sage to help reduce perspiration and detoxifying clays and charcoal to minimize wetness and odor. Our lip balms are made to nourish and protect and the tinted balms are colored exclusively with plant dyes. We carry a range of products, but we always try to source local ingredients when possible and even forage several components ourselves.
As a way to give back, we like to give free product to those battling cancer because our products are not only free of petrochemicals and other gunk, but include botanicals and other holistic components to enhance your own beauty and improve your health.
We’ve even got a men’s line called Zack so the guys can use great product without worrying about our cherry blossom logo.
We hope you love our line as much as we do!
See you May 2nd-6th!
