Orchard Blossoms, Upcycled Products from Vintage Fabrics
Hello! My name is Marné, and I started Orchard Blossoms in 2015. I love searching for vintage fabric and re-purposing it into ties, dresses, zippered pouches, and anything else that sparks my creativity. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a major in History and a double-minor in Clothing Construction and Creative Writing. I run my business from a little basement apartment, with my husband and two boys (2 and 15 months).
I started sewing again after my first baby was born. I was diagnosed with Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety, and other mental health issues that led me to rediscover a creative outlet for myself. After my second baby, my love for sewing increased; and it keeps my brain busy, so I don't lose it in the midst of changing diapers and doing laundry! ;)
I love working on custom orders, and my most recent projects include 12 neckties for a wedding party, and refashioning a friend's wedding dress into a blessing dress for her baby. My love for history led my desire to re-purpose vintage fabric, and I love giving new life to curtains, fitted sheets, tablecloths, and anything else I find.
