Conservatory Print

This print is the LEFT side of a larger painting, the full painting entitled "Pool Garden". The left side of the painting is offered in print form in a separate listing titled "Pool Garden". Both prints are pictured framed together, but please note "Pool Garden" is sold separately.

My initial concept for Pool Garden was a scene that evoked the nostalgia of a backyard pool left untouched for a season as the quick work of biology turned the once manicured space into something more alive and complex. But as it evolved, I brought in more delicate features of both structural and organic natures. It turned into a conservatory pool, made more beautiful and intricate as the flora intended to be kept out by the structure make their way inside. When I see conservatories, I can’t help but think about how the lace-like details of the architecture mimic lacey flora. One of my favorite things about conservatories and greenhouses, really any indoor / outdoor space, is how they enable people to spend time partially outside through all seasons. The world can change drastically outside, but the controlled conditions inside enable lush growth throughout the year.

The original was painted with acrylic, watercolor, and gouache on canvas.

PRINT DETAILS:

- This is an archival print of my original painting.
- Each print is signed on the front.
- Frame and mat are NOT included.
- All of my prints are produced with professional art materials including pigment-based inks and archival Somerset Velvet fine art paper. 
-In order to keep your print in great condition it is important to frame with archival materials (mats, backing board, etc.), keep out of direct sunlight, and UV glass if you really want to go all-out!

SIZE:

- Paper is larger than the listed size, as there is a ~1.25" white border around the actual image to enable easier matting, or float mounting to display the deckled edges of the paper.
- Image itself is shrunk down ~1/4" from size listed to expose signature line when matted or framed in the corresponding standard sized mat/frame.
